Cookies & storage

How the tools use local storage, temporary memory and ordinary browser features.

Last reviewed:

Theme preference

The site saves your light or dark theme in your browser's local storage under yourqrtools-theme. This preference does not contain QR data, images or authenticator secrets. You can remove it through your browser's site-data settings; your theme choice may then reset.

Temporary tool data

QR input, image decoding and TOTP calculation run in your browser. The tools do not save that content in cookies or local storage. Temporary data can remain in the open page until cleared or the page exits.

The TOTP session clears when you leave its tool or reload. If you decoded a setup QR, clear the reader separately to remove that image and result from its interface. Already downloaded files and clipboard copies remain under your control.

Website delivery and external links

The browser requests the site's pages, fonts and scripts in the ordinary way and may cache those files. Hosting and security infrastructure can process request information needed to deliver and protect the site. See the Privacy page for the distinction between website requests and local tool input.

External links open only after you choose them. The destination has its own data practices and may set cookies; YourQRTools does not control those sites.

Advertising

This version does not load advertising or analytics scripts and does not set advertising cookies through the tools. If advertising is introduced, the Privacy page and the relevant consent choices will describe the services actually enabled. A theme preference is not consent to advertising.
