Help

Practical help for QR creation, image reading, exports and temporary TOTP sessions.

Choose a tool for the task

Create QR converts your own information into a downloadable static image. Read an image extracts a code already present in a picture. TOTP codes calculates temporary codes from an existing authenticator setup. None of these tools requires a YourQRTools account.

The detailed guides cover readable designs, print formats, Wi-Fi sharing, contact cards, image decoding and authenticator secrets. They remain readable with JavaScript disabled; the tools themselves require JavaScript.

A downloaded QR does not scan

Check the exact file or print that failed. Keep its original proportions and empty border, use dark patterns on a light background, and try a smaller logo or the square preset. Run the built-in scan test before downloading again.

For print, use a suitable resolution or SVG and test at the intended physical size. There is no single size that works for every viewing distance, camera and amount of encoded data.

An image cannot be decoded

Use the original file if possible. Include one complete code with a clear border, remove unnecessary surrounding image area, and avoid blur, reflections or heavy compression. Supported raster images are limited to 12 MiB and 24 megapixels.

A result with only digits can be correct for a product barcode. The tool extracts its stored identifier; it does not perform a product search. Camera scanning, PDF uploads and reading every code in a multi-code image are not features of this reader.

A download or copy action does not work

Allow the browser's normal download action, choose a smaller export size and try again. For SVG, open the exported file in a compatible viewer before distributing it. Copying may be unavailable in some browser contexts; select the visible text and copy it manually when appropriate.

If a browser extension changes page behavior, compare with a clean browser profile on a trusted device. Do not send private QR content or account setup information while troubleshooting.

An authenticator code is rejected

Compare the setup secret and all settings with the account provider's instructions. Enable automatic device time, then try a fresh code. The public demo is only for learning the interface; it cannot sign in to an actual account.

Use the account provider's recovery options for lost access. YourQRTools has no copy of your secret, cannot recover it, and cannot remove two-factor authentication from an account.

Report an issue without exposing private data

A useful report includes the tool name, language, browser and device, the steps that caused the problem, and the visible error. Reproduce it with example.com, dummy contact details or the public TOTP demo when possible.

Never include passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, private QR images, authenticator secrets or recovery codes. Review screenshots and downloaded text before sharing them.
