Practical guide

Privacy

What these tools process, what stays on your device, and what the website receives.

QR content and uploaded images

The generator encodes your input in your browser. The image decoder reads files locally. Image contents and extracted data are not uploaded by these tools. Downloaded QR images and text files are saved by your browser wherever you choose.

The site loads its own scripts, styles and fonts. It does not include third-party analytics, advertising or remote image-decoding services in this release.

Authenticator secrets

TOTP secrets are held in the current page session, without being written to cookies, local storage, page URLs or a server account. The TOTP session clears when you leave that tool or reload. A decoded authenticator image and its result remain in the decoder until you clear them or leave the page.

Clearing the interface does not erase files you already saved, your clipboard, browser extensions, or copies elsewhere on your device. Use a device and browser environment you trust.

Ordinary website requests

Like other websites, the hosting server receives information needed to deliver a page, such as an IP address, requested path, time and browser information. The server operator may retain standard access and error logs. The site does not put tool input into these requests.

Your color-theme preference is the only preference saved in local storage. External source links and decoded website links open only when you choose them; the destination then applies its own privacy policy.

Future changes

If advertising, analytics, forms or other services are added later, their actual data practices should be reviewed and this policy updated before those services are enabled.
